Your right, totally, but we as Christians are destine to be persecuted and hated on earth. They hated Jesus and he warned us they would treat us the same. STAND STRONG with CHRIST, even when you are being treated unfair!

I agree. I think it's very wrong, and it shows that people take themselves too seriously. We had that crap with the Muslims, and then we had the stuff with the Scientologists. I think it's baloney. Bashing anyone's belief is wrong, but if you're going to do it, at least be an equal opportunity basher. Bashing other beliefs while making some off limits to criticism (even if it's your own) is just hypocrisy.

Besides you gotta learn to either ignore the bashers or laugh them off. If you take yourself (and your religion) too seriously and get all hung up everytime someone takes a potshot at you or your beliefs you're going to end up dying young from being stressed out all the time. If everyone would learn to relax and take criticism gracefully and laugh at jokes made about their religion and accept it for the flattery it is (after all, they wouldn't be making fun of you if you weren't making a major mark on the world) I think this planet would be a far more peaceful place.

As a follower of a living God and not some bag of bones somewhere. It does not bother me for others to criticize or ridicule my faith. It bothers me to see others of my faith give into that behavour or even join in it to seem popular. Ridiculing anyones faith is wrong, using it as a means to earn money or start controversy is wrong. The intolerance is already there, it does not need fanning. If anyone thinks it is harmless to make fun of another's race, religion, sex or origin. Let's not forget why so many died in equal right's problems, or how many women have died just to get the right to vote; but let's go one better. How all those that have died to give us the right to act like jackasses in the first place? Before any one of us stoops to that behavour, lets remember that.

You're right. And it's wrong because Islam is the new black, the new gay, the new thing that everyone thinks is so cool to be. Also, Muslims are a LOT more violent when they're offended. Christians just make phone calls and send emails. Occasionally we boycott. Muslims come in with bombs and blow things up. It's a lot more dangerous (in this life at least) to offend Muslims.

It is one form of bigotry that is still socially acceptable. Since some people are bigots, but wish to be seen as refined and enlightened, they need somewhere to put their bigotry--so they put it onto Christians.

It's all about lies. Presenting themselves as a person with an open mind, while barely beneath the facade the heart of hatred beats strongly.

Is that what's going on? I must have missed something, because I see a lot of people (including Christians) making "fun" of what others believe.

the muslims are so insecure, and brainwashed. they are offended at the least little comment. They need to grow up, become men and quit acting like little boys that can't play.

George Bush recently proclaimed that Muslims were fascists.

Christian preachers, talk show hosts & other public figures routinely claim Muslims should be killed.

You obviously don't get out much.

They did show the cartoons. That's why the Muslims got so irate.

What is it with Christians and martyr complexes?

Get real. That was totally political and it was because all you religious fundamentalists go to war when you really clash - lots of people die, and you do it based on some bullshit excuse for your prejudice sanctified in your religious, literally mis-read books. You all are right and you all are wrong. Grow up and Knock It Off!

it's not about respect. it's about fear.

edit - a lot of you people are missing the points. you're focusing on hating christianity so much that you've forgotten to hate islam. if you hate christianity, then you should REALLY hate islam. but instead, you people are so concerned with being trendy that you're falling into a trap. islam is awful. it shouldn't be respected anymore so than christianity. you liberals really need to wake up and stop trying to be so politically correct to the point of being blinded.
