I am the leader of a team of 5 MBA students in a Management class at a major University in San Francisco. We have been assigned a project. This project can take any form, all that is required is that the project deals with management. Does anybody have a REALLY good idea? All avenues are open. The sky is the limit. An example is one person suggested writing a play, and that could potentially work.

We are evaluating at least 10 possible project choices. I am posting this question on Yahoo! Answers so that you can be a part of our virtual team. The two best answers are going to be included as candidates for consideration and ultimately end up in our paper (with your Yahoo! screenname listed in the References Page, of course!).

Is there something that really bugs you at work? Some management issue that you've experienced that should be addressed? Whatever... crazy ideas are encouraged.

Organize a charity concert for a worthy cause, Children International, Aids, Displaced Persons or the Homeless, ... Or produce a concert to promote alternative music artists.

Plan the concert - choose your artists or performers; how do you raise funds through sponsors or donations in kind or services, i.e. local transportation company offering chauffer/transport the artists; choose the venue- where will the concert be held; who will you invite to the charity - public/private? Will you seek global sponsorship: i.e. coca cola, pepsi, verizon, cingular, etc., and/or local banks. What benefits will Sponsors have for their contributions, i.e. name publicity/recognition association with the performing artists, radio, television and other media publicizing. Will you hold a benefit dinner for persons purchasing higher priced tickets leaving a huge profit of some $$$ for your cause.

After a successful first concert you could grow the company producing future concerts. Also, there are pop singers in Korea, South America and other countries that have little experience holding live concerts. Your concert could benefit the artist and promote social awareness throught art and music production. Your motive could be that concert directors should jettison the old habits of merely repeating musicians' hit songs at the live concerts and instead recreate totally new music to appeal to fans who come to concerts seeking fun and entertainment. There are many live concerts but no concert reviewers or critics so far for global pop artists. Some concerts have high-quality performance, but others don't and media critics are essential to improve the quality of concerts. The lack of concert critics and reviews is a reflection of the global musical pop scene. Performance is growing rapidly, but quality is poor.

Also, pop music is struggling to counter declining album sales caused by illegal music downloads. Free downloads are replacing albums, which are musicians' lifelines. But don't put all the blame on listeners. The government ignores possible copyright infringement problems by focusing on the information and technology industry.
