It's called a Speech Recognition program, and if you look on ebay, under Software, there will be all sorts of different brands to choose from. I've tried it a couple of times, but it takes to train the program to recognise your voice, so it knows what you are saying. And obviously if you want someone else to use it as well, they have to train the software too. I found it quicker to stick to my 2 finger typing

The best one right now is Dragon's Naturally Speaking version 9. It costs $200 but it works. You just need to train the software to work with your voice.
Check it out at:

Voice Recognition software.
A popular one is Dragon Naturally Speaking found at http://www.nuance.com/
You have to train it in order for it to be successful.
Have fun but be safe!

"Voice recognition" software
there are several of them out there that are being used but as far as I know, none that are very useful for most activities
the Corel people have a product that includes voice recognition (I think their name for it is "the dragon" or something with a dragon in it)
for about $40 you can get IBM's "via voice"
http://store.price-savers.com/ibmviavoice10.html
somebody told me that these guys are coming out with a good product
http://www.terakeet.net/
another
http://www.pc-voice.co.uk/mainpages/products_software.asp
I can't recommend or comment on any of these products, these are just a few examples
I bet you can one of these or similar at your local "best buy" or the like
good luck
