my family is very warm and welcoming and even if someone directly harms or insults them they will not do anything back. whenever ppl come to my house they think its ok to damage whatever they want and do things they normally do not do at their own house. ive had marked walls, spoiled leather sofas, clogged toilets, and messed carpets. our house is brand new, and ive only lived here for 2 months. i am afraid to invite guests over because they cause so much trouble!

If you have your own home now, you can invite anyone you want. Don't invite those kinds of people to your home. If their children are the ones causing the problems, make plans for an adult get together and make that known to them in advance. Visit them instead if that is a problem. You could always set some boundaries, like shoes off in the entry way and no food in certain areas. If they get frustrated, just tell them that you are in a new house and you have set some new rules for all guests, so that your house will remain in good condition. They should not make a big deal about this. If they do, they will get over it, or they will not bother you anymore. You have to draw the line somewhere and I understand completely what you are saying. I hate it when people come over and do not act mannerly or appreciative.

We are getting ready to move....and I know how you feel.... my problem is not saying "no" when I don't want someone over, maybe you too? We've decided not to tell some people where we are going to live in the soon future, and the others will know shortly that it is "MY" house, tell them your not their maid, so pick up after themselves! Also if you spazz about cleaning, and you place is always in perfect order, they will respect it and your area , trying not to dirty it, you might even be able to rubb off on them. If all else fails, don't worry about it, it's only possetions, things can be cleaned or fixed, and if not make them pay for it!

Be Strict About It. When Someone Does Something Wrong, Tell Them, "Would You Do That In Your House???" If They Say 'Yes', Just Shove'em In A Closet Until It's Time For Them To Leave......

First of all KNOW THE PEOPLE YOU INVITE! I'm not being smart, really, you should know them. Friends wouldn't do that to you...so they must not be friends. Heck, where did you find these people anyway? Lay low, really get to know people. Sounds like you may have a reputation for having "great parties", and by great, I mean a "we can be complete idiots at his house and it's okay" type of parties. Stop having parties at your house...attend parties at other homes and see how things fare for them. Why can't people live by the golden rule anymore? Good luck.

I would not be friends with that kind of crowd nor would I invite them over to my house, new or not. In fact I have many friends with high quality standards and only a select few of those even know where I live or come over to my home. My guests are pleasant and respectful.
In fact, they are not your friends at all! True friends would not do that to your home. You are being used and abused!!!

Either don't invite the unruly one over. Or if you do, demand that they depart upon damaging anything! People that come into and damage things have no respect for you or your family and are certainly not your friends.
Get some backbone, throw the bums out. If they refuse to go, call the police.

I believe I would have a talk with my parents if I were you to see why the are allowing their guests to misbehave. Remember , it is their house, it is your home.
Yes, it is wrong for someone else's home. Since it is my house, I would have to tell them to leave or forcibly remove them.

Until I read all of your story I was going to say just close the bar, but you have people that are totally disrespecting you. Think about entertaining outside.

umm think about it. people are ruining your house. so obviously don't let them over. just say look, you treat my house like crap, so you can't come over sorry. i've had to do that plenty of times, cuz my friends do the same thing. or if that don't work just go to their house and trash their stuff. revenge is awesome.

Tell them to either respect your house or get the hell out and never come back again, of course!
