They'll either get along or they won't - cats are naturally loners, and resent intruders, so your home might be a cat battleground for a bit. Make sure both are fixed, and that they have their own space and hopefully they'll sort it out.

My own cats just tolerate each other. On occation they really get after it and the hair goes flying. Most generally they just ignore each other. Their personalities are 100% different and I love them both.

don't force them to get along, but you can get them to play with each other from a toy(but that might cause a cat fight) So if i were you i would let them handle it. Trust me, you'll think of something.

Shoot them and stuff them facing each other with smiles on their faces... Trust me cats are more independent then people are generally. They own you and just let you pet them occasionally. They are smarter then dogs, but will not train as well as dogs will. I know I own 5 of them and some have not gotten friendly for over 12 years.

They will probably, in the end, get along. In the meantime, things will be with cats as things will be with cats...they'll let you know.
