I have no religion, and I know virtually nothing about Islam. But I have developed a respect and curiosity for Islam. My zip code is 60610.

The Defiant One (or, more appropriately, The Obedient One), I wasn't asking for a massive media report that has already flooded the entire planet. Instead of copying and pasting all the nonsense about these one-sided media reports, why don't you be considerate and just give us some links? This would make it easier for people to sift through all the responses.

I have been to Devan Ave a no of times. there is a mosque. you can try to go there. Devon is in NW of Chicago. you go north on lakeshore, left on sheridan and north on sheridan, when sheridan turns left, keep on going and you will get to devon street, when you cross northwest (a few miles from sheridan corner) you will see alnoor meat market on your left. ask them about the location of the mosque, it is on walking distance from that store. if you have anymore questions feel free to email me on haseeb_khwaja3738@yahoo.com, peace

first let me say may Allah guide you .amin.now i would like to call your attention to those who would have you disobey your Lord and follow those who worship others besides Him.they do not fear to tell a lie against the Lord of the worlds,so why should i fear to tell the truth?that which they call you to has not been sent to any prophet. imagine Abraham ending His prayer[in the name of the father, son, holy ghost.]abraham...the one who reprimanded His father for worshiping other than the one true God,and for making idols, idols that are so prevalent in Church's today.imagine moses who in the first law was told to say there is no God but God,but now he's actually three but really one?hold on tight bro. to the rope.they will come at you from all sides.including maybe family.been there.if you know its the truth then you know its your soul that will meet Him alone on that day.so pay no attention to the haters.their grief over you not wanting anything to do with Christianity but instead Islam has their fears coming true right before their eyes.the trinity is a falsehood that no intellect could explain,so they prey on your emotions with beautiful prose and song.Jesus is not was not and will never be God.He [pbuh] is one of many messengers of God who all taught the very same message.worship the creator follow the prophets. and all will come to the beneficent as a servant on that day.may they perish in their grief.may Allah show you the difference.amin

so u can take this along with u. visit a local Imaam -scholar who has good knowledge about everything associated with Islam. ask him for historical events. and then learn the Qu'ran side by side. that way u will know why and when was a particular surah revealed.

Try the library...Take out a copy of the Koran / Q'uran. That's their main book. Your respect may vanish...
