My boyfriend and I have talked on several occasions about the fact that we want to get married after we graduate from college. However, he has not proposed... Unless he has some secret stash of money, he has not saved up for a ring either. I know I sound like a typical woman but I would just like to know exactly when we are getting married so I can start planning some things (like wether or not to resign my lease and so on). I don't want to come out and ask him because I don't want him to think I am rushing him. I hate surprises!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I spoke with your boyfriend yesterday, just joking......seriously, IF IT WAS MEANT TO BE ....it will happen......Both of you need to find jobs.....depending on how long you have been dating......ONE OF YOU IS GOING TO HAVE TO COMMIT TO MOVING TO ANOTHER STATE OR CITY....Don''t rush him....GET GOOD GRADES.....DON'T GET PREGNANT.......GET YOUR DIPLOMA just in case things do not work out.........MEDITATE and do some YOGA.......GOOD LUCK....use common sense and don't forget to use RAINCOATS!!! PEACE OUT!!!!!

I think you should forget about marriage and just do what you can for you. When it's time it will happen. So go ahead and resign your least and go on with your life. If he does happen to propose then maybe you two can live in your apartment until the lease is up. I was in a relationship for 2 years and was so obsessed with wanting to get married that I hurt the relationship until it finally ended now I am 23 and single AGAIN. So just live your life and don't make plans around something that may or my not happen. Don't pressure or bombard him about the subject either. JUST DO YOU!!!

Hah, dude, just relax. Why do YOU have to think about the ring that YOU are gonna get? Doesn't thinking about all this stuff make you miserable? Sounds like you're thinking more about the marriage than about him. Eventually you're gonna hate him for not being serious about marriage and it's gonna be all over. Work like you don't need the money, dance like no one's watching, and love like you don't wanna get married.

Resign your lease. Don't stop your life for him waiting for him to ask. He knows of your responsibilities and if he wanted to, he could ask you. You could also just ask him to marry you; however, I wouldn't do it (only because I'm 'traditional'), but if you're not against that, go for it.

If he has not saved for a ring, I doubt that you will be getting married anytime soon. You just need to talk to him about it.
