OK...a little hard truth here.
It means he's already picked out another filly...and if he ain't riding her yet, he's already been playing with the saddle.

I want to share this to you....
Men are pigs. Anyone who tells you differently must be a man himself. I could name a few who would fit the description and I'm betting, you girls, could name a couple. I personally think they are the most infuriating (and absurd) creatures in the world. I'm not a feminist. I even have a boy-toy, er, boyfriend although he claims he's really a battered husband (sweetie, you are neither. It’s just that I'm a world class female boxer). Perversely, that's how I love people. In general, the more I hurt 'em the more I love 'em. As they say, love hurts. Be scared. Be very scared. But that's another story.
Back to men. Leave it to them to settle a score by beating the hell out of each other. Geez, guys don't tell me that after you've bruised each other black and blue, you’re going to shake hands after, as if nothing happened? That is so not fetch.
Trust them to boast amongst themselves as to who has more of this stuff, bigger this and that (no jokes, please) and the newest of whatever. That includes how many subjects they dropped this seem and how many times they're absent in class. They actually seem to be proud of that.
Flatter them, and they will beat their chest and roar. Trust me, they are miniature Tarzans deep inside (and even look the part, observe!).
Expect them to be proud when they fart and belch. They think it’s hilarious. Sometimes, but rather rarely, girls find it funny too.
And see those keyboards in Internet cafes, which are either dirty or broken? A guy must've done it. Don't ask why dependable things. Must be all the DOTA.
Stay out of the way (for your sanity's sake) when they pick their nose. Chances are, they will @unintentionally@ aim disgusting specimen they dig out and find a good target Stand clear.
Learn the art of rolling your eyes behind their backs when they mutter that they were just being @gentlemen@ when you beat them at billiards or basketball. They think it's supposed to be impossible.
Lastly, this is the most important thing and perhaps, the most ironic. Despite all the stigma, men when in love are truly in love. He wouldn't deny it. In a heart beat, he'd proclaim to world that you are his girl and he'd do anything for you. All that initial bravado and ********* is just a mask.
Best part is, if a guy really loves you, he loves you for who you are. It's not your blush-on; it's not the playful glow of your skin. It's not your lip-gloss; it’s not your smile. It's not your clothes; it’s the way you move. It's not because of your body; it’s because of your heart.
Funny thing about these pigs is that-in spite of everything, they're impossible to ignore and harder yet not love right back. Cheers to them!!!

That means the guy really likes you but he doesn't think you should be together for one reason or another. The first thing he says is the real signal, everything after that is just him trying to justify a hard decision to himself. Since he likes you he's trying to sugar-coat it because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you the truth straight up. We guys don't really talk negative relationship terms in black and white anyway... for example "I'll call you sometime" is the classic way a guy politely says "I'm not interested."

Usually guys don't beat around the bush until it comes to relationships. If a guy says something like "I like you but.... it usually means that you're ok, but you are not the one. You may be the one for me right now, but in the end I am going to leave you for someone better. It means you are cool for right now, but I know I don't foresee myself with you long term.
I say look elsewhere and keep your options open as well. This is a prime time to tell him that you do not want to be exclusive anymore. Trust me, he will not be upset

Basically he is saying that even though he adores you, he recognizes that there are too many complications there to make it work. For example: He may love you but your mother is a total b*tch. In this case, I'll go get drunk to get you off my mind, because I really do love you. But I see that this could never work in the end.

That's a clue that he's done and doesn't have the backbone to just break up for good. Stereotypically, guys like to have someone in the background they can still have sex with if their luck isn't going so well. Run like hell from this guy in the other direction.

I think I maybe able to help. I am a guy btw. I love my ex, but, she is painful to be with (cheats on me, lie, etc....). I love her, I cannot be with her, simply because you cannot change people's attitute to things. This senario, the guy is really trying to forget because he is hurt, blah, blah, blah.
Second senario, he wants to break up, which is likely to be the case since I used this excuse couple of times. The part where he says he needs to drink and stuff maybe related to making you feel that he really cares and stuff (but, actually don't give 2 hoots if you are dead).
From my experience, if a guy wants to hold on. there will be nothing stopping him.

"I dont think it's going to work out."
This does NOT mean you should try harder. The guys just not interested or you're coming off too strong and need to stop "trying".

Well the thing is guy's dont really use the secret messaging that girls use. When they say "I dont think it's going to work out" it means that they dont think it's going to work out.

If you are hearing that, most likely, he cares about you, and is trying to break up with you, but does not know how, and doesn't want to hurt you. You should be very blunt with him, tell him to quit beating around the bush, and demand him to tell you what he wants out of the relationship.
