I am 21 and am starting to get tiny wrinkles under my eyes. I don't understand. Aren't I too young to start getting those?

I have been tanning only a few times my life and I am not in the sun a whole lot either...I am kind of pale. I use mary kay facial cleanser and moisturizer also. Do cucumbers really work?

You should avoid using facial cleansers and moisturizers under your eyes. That is an extremely sensitive area and the products you mentioned are too harsh. Since you are already using Mary Kay, I would recommend trying a few products made specially for that area. Also, it's important not to rub that area. When you apply a cream to the area, use your ring finger and dab. Talk to your MK consultant, I'm sure she'll be able to help you out.

What you have are fine lines which are the forerunners of actual wrinkles. You need to assess your skin-care regimen. There are many anti-aging products on the market, but the most essential ones for a young woman like yourself are a gentle cleanser, an eye creme, a moisturizer and, most important of all, a sunscreen with a pH of 30. Excessive sun exposure is a worse enemy of skin than aging. Some good product lines to try are DHC, Yves Rocher, Clinique, and Olay Regenerist. Wear sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat if you are going to be in the sun for any length of time, and try to avoid suntanning altogether. Use self-tanners instead. Taking care of your skin now will pay off in dividends when you reach 40 or 50. Good luck!

To some degree that is genetic. But sun is a ruiner of skin. Forget the tan. Stay out of the sun, and when you must go out, wear the highest number sunblock you can find. And a big floppy hat. Young women think it's cool to be bronzed, but in 10 or 20 years they wil be looking at cosmetic surgery to smooth out all tose wrinkles.

Meanwhile, consider that those tiny crinkles and smile lines give your face character!

Wrinkles are a symptom of your skin thinning and drying out. It could very possibly be a hormone imbalance.

Thinning and wrinkled skin is a sign of lack of hydration in the
skin. It is common in peri- and post-menopausal women and is
a sure sign of hormone depletion. Transdermal natural
progesterone is a skin moisturizer which restores skin
hydration.

You could try a natural progesterone cream.
