I've just moved here to Chicago, and my best friend is coming to visit for New Years. I want to get us reservations somewhere fantastic. Restaurant/Bar/Club/whatever, as long as it's an awesome party, and not insanely expensive. And I'm in Streeterville, so I'd prefer somewhere not too far from there (like, Lincoln Park would be ok, but not Evanston!). Thanks for your help!

I am a regular and the Largest Pajama Party and the Chicago Hilton. Great party complete acess to all hotel areas. Food and drinks and you can come in your pjs.

Well if you ask me, right on the lake. Shoot off our own fireworks. But by day go to the Hard Rock Cafe, 63 West Ontario, Chicago, IL 60610. Than go to a local store, family owned and check out some of the cool stuff, that or go to a antique mall. Those are fun to. Go home make some dinner or go out to eat, than go out and sit by the lake with family or friends with a watch or portable TV to count down the time. Light off fireworks and just talk while you wait :)

You should absolutely go to the top of the John Hancock building. You're 96 floors up and get there about 10:00 pm to get a window spot.

The best place to celebrate New Year's is in the arms of your true love. This is the same in Chicago as it is in Milwaukee.

I think that the Swisshotel has the best place to see fireworks and has a pretty good restaurant.
