No. It's called domestic violence and it's illegal. No, I'm serious. Just because you're a girl doesn't make it cute to hit people.
Your boyfriend deserves someone better than someone who will hit him.

That is a touchy question. Sometimes hitting a man makes them feel they have the right to hit you back. If he called you a name that upset you that bad then he must have been being very disrepectful to you and I would really reconsider the relationship. No one really has the right to hit another in a relationship, male or female. But all in all if a person was not there to see what happened it's a tough one, but always do everything to keep violence out of the situation.

Well, I would have kicked his arsh out the door. But no, slapping, hitting, kicking any type of physical abuse will only lead to more physical abuse. You should have counted to 10, walked away, and calmed down and when you got yourself together you should have told him that if he ever says anything disrespectful to you even once more you are parting company with him--that means he gets kicked out--PERIOD. This does not sound like a good relationship (sorry if I'm judgmental). You deserve happiness and respect in your life and especially in your love life. Best wishes.

As tempting as it may be to slap him, no, you don't have the right. It also sets the stage for further violence. Instead of slapping him, calmly tell him you're done with him. Break up and don't go back. Expect respect and don't accept anything less. People treat you the way you let them.

honestly, no. I did that to my husband once and it almost got us divorced. My mom told me the next time my husband says something to me that pisses me off so much I want to slap him, "slap" him with the silent treatment. So that's what I do now. Works every time!

No, a slap in the face is pretty serious. If he knew it was going to get to you, then you should have let him know another way. Otherwise, I bet he had no idea you were going to get so pissed.

please more than likely u deserved it if it hurt that much because the truth hurts, but if u slap him he does have the option 2 hit u back because he did not hit u he verbally assaulted u and if u hit him then its self defense on his part so really think about what u want 2 do, because u could open up the flood gates 4 a verbal barrage .

It depends on the name, if it was completely disrespectful, i would have done the same, but look at it this way, if u said something disrespectful to him and he slapped you, would it be ok?
