They are great dogs. THey are a herding dog, so they like to run and nip at heels sometimes. If you raise a Corgi with cats and keep them socialized they can get along fine with cats. There are two types of corgies, the pembroke and cardigan. The main difference is the tail or lack of one. BUt the ears and temperment can differ between the two. When you find a breeder, ask to see the parents and ask lots of questions. Handle the puppy alot. If it lets you hold it and lay it on its back with out struggling, it usually will be more mild and may be better with cats. The main thing to remember is that it is a herding dog and bred to think and chase other animals. With time, they can be trained and love to get along with cats. You just have to work with the dog.

Hi. I know a few breeders from Florida. Go under google and search Imperial Polk Obedience Club. Then send them an email about Corgi breeders in their club. There are about 10 breeders in the club. The club is found out of Lakeland. I have a few friends in the clubs that's how I know.

Corgi's are great dogs, They can be very loyal and a bit over protective. My mom got one three days before I was born, she died three days before my 14th birthday. Many people I know that have them say they're great pets.

Corgis are often agressive with people and animals they don't know, and they have a tendency to try to be 'head of the pack.' They're EXTREMELY smart, and that makes them difficult to train sometimes; I only reccomend them if you're experienced and equipped to deal with a difficult animal, as they are often sly little buggers.

I was sooo close to getting one of these dogs. I was at the pet shop and he was soooo cute. I asked to see him in that little private booth they have. Little thing wouldn't stop BITING me! It would have been fine if it was little cute nips, but it was like clamp down break the skin dont let go bites. So, I chose the Boston Terrier instead. She's my baby sweet heart now.

they're herding dogs, so if you get one you need to spend time with it, play with it, walk it, etc so it doesn't get bored
