I have heard from many people and also have seen on the internet that when you eat a lot of the spice, Nutmeg, you can get high off of it. Kind of like the buzz you get from smoking pot. Has anyone else heard of this, and if u have tried it....did it work? Because I ate 3 tsp. of it today with lots of water and i only felt light headed.

From what I understand, nutmeg in high doses can be poisonous. Lay off it.
Nutmeg contains a substance called myristicin, a narcotic with very unpleasant toxic side effects if taken in large quantities. Ingestion of small amounts of nutmeg is harmless to the body, however the consumption of one to three whole nutmegs (in excess of one teaspoon ground) can cause wild hallucinations, nausea, vomiting, and/or circulatory collapse within one to six hours after consumption. Very large doses can be fatal.

Nutmeg has a lengthy history of use as a medicine among Asian cultures as well as Native American.
Honestly, if you're looking for a high, you're better off breathing in and out rapidly until you get dizzy. It's not hard to ingest too much nutmeg and cause yourself some painful effects or even psychosis.

As a teenager I once smoked nutmeg in a pipe and it gave me a similar buzz as weed.
