i had the same problem and then in my last 4 weeks my son harley grew so much that when he came out he was normal weight. My youngest son though was born 4 pound 4 at 35 weeks. and he was fine he did stay in hospital for 2 weeks but that was because he didnt know how to suck. Your baby will be fine, you only have 4 weeks left, rest and rest good so you dont go early and give him enough time to grow before his out

Have they said it was IUGR perhaps? Most babies with this are born small but normal in all other ways and catch up quickly to other babies. Don't worry too much. That isn't really all that small. The baby will put on 1/2 to 1 pound a week from here on so that is at least 6-7 pounds - small but within average. As for diet just continue to eat healthy probably at least 2100 calories but not more than 2500 otherwise it will just be you gaining the weight.
*IUGR means Intrauterine growth retardation which just means smaller than average baby.

I don't know if there is anything that you can eat to make him grow but if it comes to the day of your due date, don't let your doctor talk you into having you induced.
Let the baby come naturally and maybe by that time he or she will have gained a little more weight.
My doctor had me induced and I would take back every single minute of it. Now a days I think that people think of the due date as a day that the baby SHOULD come. It's just the APPROXIMATE date, to give you an idea. If I were you, let her come when she is ready.

if you smoke...quit! that produces babies that are smaller in size. but if you are worried about the size of the baby...dont...you have the last weeks that seem to add pounds to you and the baby...my dr told me i was having a 10 pound baby and she was only 7 11 when she came....so stop worrying...let nature take its course...worrying causes stress on the baby too
