My braxton-hicks contractions were very strong and sometimes they would even come at regular intervals, like real contractions...thus the false alarm trip to the hospital! LOL!
If you are afraid you are having premature labor, don't be afraid to phone your doctor, or if your hospital has a medical helpline staffed by nurses, you could give that a try.
Other than what you're doing - changing position, taking a bath, take a walk, etc. - there's nothing you can do to stop them from happening.
Best wishes!

I might not be able to help much b/c i am a first time mommy and i couldnt tell when i was having a contraction til the day i had my baby . i got enduced and didnt feel contractions til after they broke my water. Just keep an eye on them if they get stronger and start making a noticeable more regular pattern then you need to go to the hospital or your doctor asap to get checked out. In the mean time take it easy dont do anything too physically demanding. Your baby needs to stay in your tummy for atleast 2 or 3 more weeks to ensure that he/she will be born healthy and without problems. Best of luck!!!!

Go to the hospital right now! My sister ended up giving birth on her bathroom floor because she thought she was just having Braxton Hicks. Better safe than sorry especially since you are only 32 weeks.

Hi hope this helps I have had 4 kids and i had horrible contractions my last few weeks with my last 3 kids it was unbearable at times. depending on what pregnancy this is for you first or etc.. will determine the extent of the contractions your having the more kids you have the worst they are but all they are is your body preparing for the real deal. Its normal to have contractions and there really is nothing you can do to make them go away if you havent tried this already lay on your left side for 30 minutes it might give you some relief.

Okay I am 35 weeks and I had the same problem when I was 31 weeks pregnant. Nothing could stop them at all and they actually started getting regualar. I went to the doc. with them and they had to give me an IV and a shot to stop me from going into labor. Then like clock work every week I had to go back because they kept coming so I had to take medicine. I would go in just to have them check you out. But I have been there dont worry, they can stop it. Hope that it works out okay for you!

they are a type of braxton hicks.........your just getting ready. Sore tummy is ok, it means the muscles are getting stronger.....try massage or lavendar oils to help you relax......if it bothers you that much talk to your doctor in case there is more going on. Just think..........you're practicing!
