You could have an ulcer. Newborns get them, too. Usually an ulcer will hurt in a straight line from your stomach thru to your back. Over the counter Prilosec taken twice a day for 2 weeks will significantly heal an ulcer. Stress very rarely causes an ulcer, studies show they are caused by a bacterial infection called Helicobacter Pylorii. If that's the case you'll need to see a doctor for blood tests and antibiotics.

Stomach ulcers can happen to teenagers. They can happen at any age. Stomach ulcers are very painful. If left untreated they can lead to bleeding.

As for the symptoms you have mentioned, its very hard to say if you have an ulcer. What is more likely is that you have Acid Reflex also known as GERD. If acid reflux is left untreated that it is sure to lead to stomach ulcers. Here are a few symptoms in addition to frequent heartburn for GERD L

* Belching
* Chronic sore throat
* Difficulty or pain when swallowing
* Waterbrash (sudden excess of saliva)
* Hoarseness
* Sour taste in the mouth
* Bad breath
* Inflammation of the gums
* Erosion of tooth enamel (the surface of the teeth)

Stress is a leading factor in causing GERD. So you may be a likely candidate for this disease.

As mentioned by other members, go ahead and take PRILOSEC OTC for 14 days. Be sure not to skip a single dose. You only need to take one pill a day.

Now if you find that your heartburn returns after taking PRILOSEC then please go see a doctor. You may have other issues that can only be identifed by a professional.

Honey I can believe that you may have an ulcer because I had one when I was seventeen. However if could just be a nervous stomach. They also show all of the symptoms of an ulcer. Watch you diet and make sure that you don' eat a lot of fried fatty food. Make sure the food is kind of bland. It doesn't taste as goon but your stomach won't Hunt anyone I'll bet.

or maybe it's gastirc. Try eating regularly. (nothing too hot or spicy) no chocolates, stick to milk (it only helps some) unflavoured yourghat and stuff. There are some anti acid tablet. You should try a dr for that. But don't miss meals. (If it's gastic, if progresses to ulcer if not treated. Just go to a dr. It won't kill you.
