What do you think of these ads? I'm confused by them. Are they trying to appeal to (sell cars to) dumb*ss people? Or am I missising something (the people in the ads seem to get into the wreck because they aren't paying attention to the road - busy paying attention to their passangers)?

It's nice to know it's not just me. I hate those commercials, especially the one with the 2 women talking about the previous commercial. Do you see how the impact tosses them around even before the airbags deploy? There is no way they would be ok to get out of the car and stand around like that. And another thing, wouldn't you have the holy sh** reaction way before your are standing outside the car? You are right, they are not paying attention to the road. I guess they are trying to sell cars to people who are prone to getting into such accidents.

Because , I think, so may people drive and dont pay attention, I know I don't always. I think the point is the cars will help protect you anyway.
