I have come to realize that we were not meant to be together. But I still miss her alot. I cant see another woman with out thinking of her. I compare every woman to her now. I know that is probably not a good thing. What can I do to get over this? Please help.

Maybe don't see anyone right now. Definately not fair to compare others to her.
Throw yourself fully into something that you love. Hobbies... sports... whatever. Just do something that has nothing to do with her, or remind you of her. You do have to feel the feelings you're feeling to be able to release them. Practise some meditation and time just for you.

You need to remember, there is a reason why it didn't work out with you and your fiance. You two weren't quite compatible. So stop comparing her to other women. I would hope you wouldn't want to find someone exactly like her b/c it would probably end up with the same result.

You just need to give yourself time to heal. Don't jump into dating. I'm guessing if you all were on your way to the alter it was a pretty serious relationship. Four months may seem like a long time to some, but its all about your heart.

All it takes is time to get over someone or time to realize she is the one but if you miss her alot and cant stop thinking about her its for a reason. If you compare every woman to her now maybe its because no one will ever compare to her.

when you start comparing, revert back to the thoughts of why you were not meant to be together and the reasons you are not together. you have to accept people for their own merits and qualities. i believe the culprit for your emptiness is that you have not healed from this relationship. just enjoy being with friends right now, pursuing hobbies and being with your family. think of it this way: if a cell phone is out of juice, no matter how much you want to, you can't make a call until it is recharged. your heart needs to do the same before you can be honest with yourself and the next significant person who comes into your life. you are not ready.

You need some time to heal, don't push yourself. You'll know you are ready to move on when you meet someone else that piques your interest. Make a conscious decision NOT to compare her with other women. You know we're all different. Do things you like to do... stuff you might have done more before her. Good luck... you can move on! You can do it!

In time that will pass. You loved this woman, naturally you are going to compare others to her. You thought that she was the one for you, that will take some time to get over.

You have to remember why it was you broke it off in the first place. For a long time you loved your fiance and missing her shows you know at one point your feelings were real. But you have to keep asking yourself why it was you broke off.

What you are feeling is very normal after a break up. From personal experience, the only thing that will help is time. There really are no simple answers or shortcuts to this one. Sorry.

Keep on keeping on. Find something to do to keep you busy. Something you enjoy. Try learning a new hobby, skill, sport and move on. It's only going to keep hurting more, if you don't get yourself moving in another (positive)direction.

try starting over. dont go to places that remind you of her or do things that remind you of her. join some kind of social club. just keep yourself busy so your mind doesnt start wondering. time will eventually heal everything, just keep yourself busy with new things in the meantime.
