I have a banana tree in my yard but it go so heavy with bananas it feel down and broke in half, i was heartbroken and cried for weeks, my bananas weren't even fully grown and ripened yet so we had to throw them all away.

Bananas ripen off the tree. They ripen faster when they are sprayed with some chemical, ethelyne I think. They are more than likely transported to England on a boat or a plane from India or the Americas. Once they are ripe, they go pretty quick. I like green tip, rather than the brown spotted ones-much too sweet for me.
