The only way to get rid of split ends it to trim them, it's not an opinion, it's a FACT!!!
There is no product in the world that will mend damaged ends. Hair is already dead when it comes out the root, once dead hair splits the only thing to do is trim it.
If you don't cut your ends you will loose more length because split ends rise. If you leave those dry split ends on you are gonna be saying a yr. from now "My hair is shorter now than it was a yr. ago and it's not growing." It grows, but the ends keep splitting & breaking so it'll seem your hair isn't growing.
I know this is not the answer you want to hear, but it is the HONEST answer.
Good Luck,
Stylist of 9 yrs.

There is a technique called "dusting". If you can find a salon that specializes in long hair they will know how to do it. In a nutshell, you blow-dry your hair as straight as possible. Then you take small sections and twist them tightly. Use scissors to cut off the hair that frizzes out from each twisted section. You will need a friend to do it and it takes a while so rent a movie or something entertaining. It works really well and you don't have to take any of the length. Just make sure your friend can PAY ATTENTION so he or she doesn't slip and cut a hunk out of your hair. My hair is to my waist and I have very few split ends because I have it dusted. In the town where I live there is a salon called "Rapunzel's". I don't know if it's a franchise or just a small business but I'm sure you will be able to find one like it where you live.

there is not any way of doing away with chop up end with out reducing them with the aid of fact the hair has already chop up and been broken. that is critical trim them in any different case the wear can worsen and consequence hair develop. as quickly as you have had your hair trimmed nevertheless finding after it with a good hair brush and sturdy conditioner can circumvent chop up ends. wish this enables x

Try Infusium 23 leave in treatment. I get mine at WalMart. I used to get split ends all the time until I started using this. I blow dry my hair every day. I put it in a spray bottle and spritz my hair every morning before I blow dry it. It really helps. Good Luck.

It is NOT possible to get rid of split ends without a trim. Regular trims prevent them in the first place. You can disguise them with shine serum, but they'll still be there--AND they'll continue to get worse the longer you go without a trim.

I in the past had use profectiv healthy ends and I have to say it work well it's a split-end treatment and you should also try a leave-in conditioner with light hold or a pomade applied to the ends can temporarily seal the splits.

You can't actually 'get rid of' split ends without cutting them. All you can do is use product, like a hair wax, moulding mud or serum with silicone in it to 'hide' the splits by sticking them together. Eventually, you'll have to get them cut because they are weak and will start to snap off in different places all over your head, making you look like a scarecrow-chick who's too cheap to get a haircut. Untrimmed hair looks nasty and you don't want to look like one of those nasty girls whose hair looks ridiculous but who still prances around like she looks good, do you?

hmm...i heard pantene pro-v might helpp with this...make sure you get the right shampoo, though. but yeah, pretty much just cut a bit off your hair (it's not even that much you have to cut-like an inch!) it will be way better than just leaving it-cuz the split ends will get worse and worse and then you'll have to cut off way more in the end than you would now if you just do it now.
