If your truely in-love then youll never fully get over it, but it will get better with time. Same thing happened to me in 1998, but I just had a little taste of that person recently and she is nothing that I thought she was. I could nomore be with that girl now than I could be with a man.
Good luck.

It took me a couple of months and I was in a two year relationship also. I still think about him sometimes but I know that I deserve much better. You have to think that you're better off without him and it's his loss (it really is). In a sick way, it also helps if you know he's a screw up...my ex got arrested after we stopped dating, that chopped off at least a month of thinking about him (who wants to date a loser?). Once you realize that it's smooth sailing from there on out.

Three years before you actually feel normal and healthy again. (Someone told me this just after my divorce and I was so shocked to hear that... but it was true. It really took me three full years to recover and feel strong enough again.) Here's another piece advice that was given to me: "Sometimes you have to change the life you planned, in order to find the life you were meant to live." Hang in there and take care.

The rule of thumb is half the time of the total relationship, but if things started falling apart before you actually split, I'd start the count from then!

it varies with the person, with the deception, with the strength of the person, etc. good luck to you. The pain should lessen within 3-4 months but that also varies.

There is no time frame. Just think about the fact that you didn't waste anymore time. It's better to have short-term heartache than a lifetime of heartache.

it will take time. but you'll never know how long it will take. If you really loved him all you have to do is just wait, after a while it will go away. Although maybe not completely.

By making you miserable the person who hurt you is still in your life, winning over you. It's something that only you can get yourself out of when you get sick enough of feeling like crap about it.

If you kick him to the curb it will take a lot less time... If you keep him around and you don't get amnesia, you will never heal.
