I want to hear his voice now.

Is God against suicide?

Why can't me and you go to the afterlife right now

What does Matthew 5:21 in the bible states and does that include suicide, you killing yourself on purpose, and me killing myself on purpose

God speaks to me quite often, one of the great things about God is he is, always there! You should go to him in prayer and meditation.
Ask God to spek to you, be humble and sincere.
Murder is murder! suicide is murder! You cannot go to Jesus and say Lord forgive me for the sin that I'm about to commit. That is a willfull, sinful act that is you purposely did it in violation of his commandent though shalt not kill.
And taking one verse out of text is wrong! And also The after life is Hell. Eternal life after death is in Heaven with God, worshipping Him

David,

You've asked four questions about commiting suicide in the past five days. Obviously this topic is rather heavy on your mind. I would strongly advise that you go get some help. You've mentioned the word college, why not from a trusted professor or your school's guidance department. This is something you need some person to person help with.

God is trying to speak to you, through the Bible. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." God knows the problems that you are going through right now, and he has provided you a way out besides killing yourself.

Further, God demonstrates his love for you in the Bible. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." God did not send his Son Jesus to die for you when you were perfect or when you had your life straight. He sent his Son to die for you while you were a sinner. He knows your faults, but he still loves you and wants to work with you.

Again, if this is really something your thinking about you need to go get help, even at the Emergency Room if need be. Please.

The scripture you cited is from the old Mosaic Law. Our courts deal with murder now. God did speak literally 3 times in the Bible accounts. Now he speaks through the pages of the Bible. It would be cool to hear his real voice, but that will not happen at this point. There is no afterlife that you mentioned. The life you will have after Armageddon will be living forever on a paradise earth with no more crime, suffering or war. Satan will eventually be gone and you will live in peace and harmony with your fellowman forever.

Consider this for a minute-

God either speaks to everyone,
or else He speaks to no one.

Which statement would you agree with?

if God speaks to no one -
then who can hear Him?
And if God speaks to everyone -
then again, who can hear Him?

Don't assume God hasn't spoken to you -
instead assume He has,
but you haven't heard Him... JUST YET.
If you have negative thoughts in regards to suicide - you are hearing someone-
but it's DEFINITELY NOT God.

Suicide is a negative event - and it is the extinguishment not only of a person's life, but also their hopes and dreams. It also has a painful and devastating ripple effect on the lives of the people who love them the most.

All lives have purpose - even if it isn't very clear at times just what that purpose might be.
We don't have to be presidents or doctors or lawyers or anyone famous or rich, to matter to someone or to make a difference in another person's life -
all we simply have to do is... BE.

Right now you need to love yourself enough
simply to BE.
Do that for yourself because
you deserve to be loved,
and because God loves you where you are,
just as you are- right now.

If you want to hear God's voice -
then you need to take the first step
through prayer. Use prayer to push out
all of the negativity in your heart and
mind.
When you have done that, then sit
quietly in meditation and wait for His voice -
because that is when He will speak -

1 Sam 3:9-11

Wishing you Peace~*

I know life can get you down but suicide is not an option. God is probable not speaking to you because of possible sin in your life or he is putting you through a trial. Don't give up and let Satan talk you into doing something silly. Better check your salvation have you accepted his son Jesus? Did God convict your heart? and when did you realize you where lost? if you answered no and scratched your head on the last question you better not check out of here until you have checked with God you are really saved.

God does speak to you, you just have to listen the closer you get to him the more you will hear, but dont feel alone because I asked myself this question a week ago when I was going through some very rough times in my life. I screamed out why wont you talk to me...and you know what he did....in ways you just dont expect. Sometimes they are signs and sometimes you really can feel him, I used to alwasy tell my mom I was a burning bush kinda person just tell me lord set something on fire and tell me...but I think he only uses that in extremely important cases, but he is here and will talk when he is ready. And yes I think suicide is the ultimate sin.....but thats my interpretation.

Yes God is against suicide, you can not ask for his help and forgivness if you are already dead, but there like all things are exeptions.
Afterlife, you can just takes a little bit of thought to it.

No idea on the bible passage.

what do you mean when you say "god"?

for me, according to the views and existance as I see it:

He is real. he does, but you don't listen, and he does.

if you want to hear his voice, just listen, look around you, let yourself feel.

and yes, preservation of life is if utmost importance.

why can't we go to the afterlife? define afterlife.

if you mean the plane where spirits and such "live" then yes, you can. well, I can. most people can if they learn how, its not that big of a deal really.

God not talkingto you because of a sin in your life? thats silly. the problem is on the receiving end.

God speaks to us through the Bible. Want to know what God thinks about what you are going through? Find the verse and read it. Those are His thoughts and when you pray and hear His voice, it is those exact words which you will hear.

That is the voice of God.

God does talk to us every day! You just have to listen to Him. He is very much against suicide----you are His child! He loves you very much. We can't go to the afterlife now because He isn't ready for us, yet.
