The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.

It really depends upon personal preference and how your body adapts to the exercise. Currently I'm training for a marathon which requires me to run 4 times each week. I run at lunch two days a week, once at 7pm when I get home from work, and on the weekends, I run very early in the morning. I don't notice any difference between the days -- I'm equally ready to fall asleep at bedtime no matter what time of day I ran! If you're just starting out, I would suggest trying one week of running in the mornings, and the next week at night, the next week at lunch, and see how it fits best into your personal schedule. No matter what time you run, definitely get some fuel in your body beforehand! No running on an empty stomach! A banana or energy bar, for instance, and let your body digest it while you're tying your shoelaces and stretching before your run.

Do you mean running/jogging? I used to run in the mornings, but I have seen studies lately that night time running may be the most productive time. If you run in the morning your body has been fasting all night and has no fuel. But if you run at night, you've been feeding it all day so you have ample stores of glycogen in the muscles which would make for an easier run. I have been trying this theory out for the past couple of months and I tend to go with the night time theory.

morning, before you've put any breakfast into your stomach. Then your metabolism is raised for several hours following the run. If you run long enough, you will get a runner's high, which is a great way to start off the day. If you do it later in the day, then you have worry about timing your meals around the running so that the food digests before you start running.

In the morning... Before you eat breakfast.

If you do it in the morning, it not only gives you more energy throughout the day.. But your body continues to burn fat the entire day.

I run every day. I do it early in the morning, before I do ANYTHING else... When it's just light enough out to see.

I've tried running in the evening and at night.. But I lost more weight, and keep it off, by running in the morning.. And I feel better all day.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Early morning - if it's still dark outside be absolutely sure to wear reflective light color clothing.

By running in the morning, you start your day off right - you will have more energy all day, be more positive and sleep better at night.

I don't think the time of day matters. Just so you get it done. Early morning if you can. But later in the day is fine also.

I believe it is early in the morning, about 20 mins after waking up. The morning is still cool, and your body is well refreshed.
