If anyone knows how good tresseme line of hair products is, please share. I straighten my hair and need an amazing shampoo, conditioner, and thermal protector against the heat. Tresseme is sold in huge bottles and some people swear by it. But, its sold in drug stores for like $5, so how good could it be? It says its used by salon professionals? Any advice or warnings??? Right now i use Dove Therapy Intensive treatment (blue bottle) Any advice or tips?

Shampoo is shampoo....
as long as they have the two lauryls in them.. then its good to go... laurylsulfate and laureth sulfate (not 100% ont the spelling) you also want to look fro a shampoo that is clear... the creamy shampoos leave a residue in your hair which menas its not REALLY cleaning it, tis jstu replacing the dirt...
and for a conditioner.....just be sure to do a deep action conditioning once a week or so... liek leave the ocnditioner on fro 10 mins while you relax in the tub or whatever, before you rinse it out.... and jsut do a quick shampoo style wash with the conditioner everytime you wash..... (thats why i do......and althoguht i don't strighten my hair, i do blowdry it every day) and my hair look great....and i'm not the type to hype myself up often.. so.. lol
but yea... with shampoo and conditoners. as long as you look fro thoes 3 things. then they only other choice is to look for a scent you like... i liek ehrbal essences... and suave wild strawberries.

I would not say Tresseme is amazing. It smells amazing and has a 'salon-y' type of smell, but it doesn't do anything more than the average shampoo/conditioner. I have a 'high-maintenance' hairstyle that requires heat styling and the trick is to only 'do' your hair 2 to 3 times a week tops, and just touch it up on the mornings in between. If you're an every day hairwasher, cut it out!! That's damaging enough on its own!! If your head is really greasy after just one day, it's because you're washing it too often and it's over producing sebum(hair oil) to keep the scalp from drying out. You have to wean yourself off of washing it so much, very slowly. Like cut down to only 6 washes/week, and then 5/week the next week and so on....
Best of luck!!

I have tried all brands of hair products but will now stick with tresseme. I find it very good, especially the intensive conditioner, and my fine curly hair needs a lot of care. My hairdresser also said its good. They come in all size bottles so you can try out the small size.

TresSeme is a very poor quality product line. It used to be a professional salon product, but because of the changes they made in their products the professional nolonger carry it in salon.

It has a drying agent in it that will build up on your hair and is 80% water, that is the shampoo. I would stay far, far away from the TresSeme line personally. You'd honestly be better off w/ Aussie if you can only buy store products over professional.

Good Luck,

I like Therma-silk! The other one used to be sold in salons but went onto shelves in the 80's. I was not impressed by it.
