Okay, there's a girl I like, she's like my best friend, and I just started to like her a couple of months ago. I tried to figure out that if she also likes me that way or not, but I barely found any evidence. However my friends told me that most girls try to hide their feelings and wait for guys to make the first move. Is this true? HOW CAN I TELL IF SHE REALLY LIKES ME THAT WAY? Any help is appreciated.

I just don't wanna risk our friendship...besides, she barely showed any signs other than what a friend would shown, so I really don't know what to do...

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

It depends on how old you all are, as you get older, you tend to be more bold.
You two are friends already, so just ask her if she would like to go out to the movies or for coffee or something. Honesty is always the best policy. Put it all out on the table. She will appreciate this much more.
Just be prepared incase she doesn't reciprocate your feelings. Can you handle that?

That IS true. Eons ago when I liked my husband (who was obviously not my husband at the time), I spent a month or two finding oblique excuses to be around him, hoping he would make the 1st move. Like, I would get my best friend to invite him places with us and offer him rides, so I wouldn't seem like the one who wanted him around (I was 16; I do not know if older girls are this silly). Any way after a looooong time, we were watching a movie together and he decided to try to put his arm around me, and I was like, finally!! So, I totally leaned on him to make sure he knew his attention was welcome. So that is what I suggest, some goofy physical contact like arm over the shoulder or your hand over hers, and you should be able to tell from her response if she is interested.

u got to spend time with her alone and get her to open up to u. if she likes u she would have told some of her girl friends so ask them. But dont make a move until u know 4 sure. u dont want to ruin a long friendship or make it akward.

well.. maybe you should ask some of your other friends to ask her if she has feelings for you first. cause you guys are like best friends and you wouldn`t want to mess up your relationship w/ her. but some girls really do hide their feelings. maybe you should ask her about her crush if she has one and if she don`t want to tell you there might be a chance that her crush is you. you`ll never know. but you should do that soon cause if you don`t you might not have the chance if there are other guys out there that are after her. well.. good luck ! =]

I suggest flirting with her whenever the two of you are alone. Make subtle moves on her and see if she responds to them at all. If she flirts back then she might like you too. Does she ever talk to you about other guys? Just make sure you know if she likes you before you ask her out so it doesn't ruin your relationship you have already.

when a girl is your bestfriend and you told her you like her one thing for sure she'll avoid for sometime. Well there is no harm trying tell her about your feelings towards her but never expect anything from her right away. if she also like you i'm happy for you coz good relation starts with friendship. but if she wants to be just friend accept it and try to look for some other girls

the only way you'll really know is to ask...and yes it is sorta true that girls do that...i'm guilty....but seriously ask her on a date and see what she says
the worst is a no but if she's a true friend, you'll still be friends after a no but hey you'll regret it if you don't ask her flat out or on a date or something
