...when you are in a bad mood all you want is to be left alone. The last question I want to hear is "Are you okay?" or "What's wrong?" over and over and over again. I know they're just trying to help but it only makes me spiral deeper into bitter anger. Does anyone else share this sentiment?

Always. It makes it like, a million times worse.

Gosh, I hate this too. But I guess I'm somewhat guilty as well. I will ask, "Is everything OK?" and then "Can I do anything to help?" and if the answer to the second question is no, I will leave that person alone. If others would just do the same, I could at least be understanding of this. However, I've found that so many people just want to continue pushing the issue even when you've let them know that there's absolutely nothing they can do and maybe even they're the problem. There's one guy at the office who whenever I'm upset for any reason makes comments like, "I still love you" or "Everything's going to be all right."

I've finally come up with a response that keeps him at bay for at least an hour at a time: "Yes, everything WILL be all right when you go away and leave me alone!"

Men wanna think it through in their own world and get over it. Women want to analyze and talk about it. That's the difference.
And maybe if you're not usually ticked off people are like ''ooo, something's up w/ him lets see what it is". But yeah lotsa times ppl just wanna help.

hey you can go on being in your bad mood ,just let the other person know,by apologizing, saying your ok just need time to think things over, and realize when your in a bad mood you may also be recieving the others attempts to reach out to you as wrong,(see it can be you too)

Not really, cause when I'm in a bad mood, I'd rather have a hug and someone to listen to me whine and complain. You know the saying "misery loves company". It holds true sometimes.

I need a fair amount of "me" time to do whatever - times where I'm not interrupted. Just smile and say you're absorbed in your mind's playground but you'll come out later :)

Some people seem to require constant verbal interaction and noise - I'm not one of them.

You could try wearing headphones & pretend you don't hear them.

Bad mood doesn't excuse bad manners. And people don't have to care about you, but they do. So, if possible, remove yourself from all those who piss you off with concern until you feel "normal" again. Otherwise you'll be labeled a selfish, moody bastard and no one will give a damn anymore.
Damn those people for caring!
Damn people....

I agree with you, but on the same point when we know someone that is in a bad mood we probably all do the same thing.
