yeah..i know...stupid...but it's horrible! I think it's from me watching the first 45 minutes of the grudge last year at this person which i hate's party at 2 in the morning. I wasn't even at the bad part, and it happened A YEAR ago! I obviously don't work to well with scary movies and RARELY watch them like once a year.

it is not stupid alot of people including adults are afraid of the dark, my self included... i leave a nite light on in the bath room and kitchen and i leave the hall light on at night when i go to bed. hall is right next to bedroom. i can not stand the bedroom light on, it keeps me awake so i use the hall light .try doing some of these things and hope you feel better about the night. i know it helps me

I'm 37 and I H A T E the dark! I leave the bathroom light on or use a night light and I pray. Having something to hug on is comforting too. It's a good thing for me that my husband understands and doesn't mind when I feel like I need the extra light. It's NOT stupid. Being afraid of the dark is very common. Just not everybody who is will admit it!

Don't worry, I'm 14 and afraid of it too. I never even watch scary movies cause they always freak me out weeks after watching them. Anyway you could get a night light or do the tv thing that was said. I just ask my mom to turn off my light after I'm in bed. Yeah, I'm such a baby xD When she's not at home I just turn on a light in a room near mine then turn off my light and run to the bed. Good luck, and hopefully we'll both someday outgrow the fear =)

I am as well, do not be afraid. to make my matters worse i live in a single dorm room and the building is supposedly haunted. What i do is sleep with the tv on and just turn it down a bit so that i have the light. I would also stay away from the scary movies. Also, i leave my laptop on so that i have the extra light.

Well, number 1: stop watching scary movies! Period! Lol, sorry, but, really, if that's what's doing it to you, than don't even bother watching them. Personally I don't see how anybody would even WANT to watch something like that. Number 2: Try a nightlight, that always helped my sister. With the nightlight, your not exactly in the dark anymore, so maybe that'll help. I hope this helps!

We never go to bed, with the house in total darkness, so leave one hall light on...with a enegry saving light globe in it.Costs nothing to do!! really....Only because it helps keep crime-out!
And also we had a house fire, and nearly couldn't get out at 11.p.m. at night...as all the lights were out...and couldn't find the light swicth. So we always have one light on! No matter what I remember the smoke nearly killing me....and then by accident, or GOD...I found the light...So do what we do!
