To those who asked and/or wanted to know, no I'm not making fun of my grandma, that was very nice of her; I just have no idea how to spend the money...or should I save it?

Buy a pretty thank you card and send it to your grandmother.

so spend it on the things that you need that's it. but if those "lacking certain things" are not so important you might considering keeping the money for future use.maybe you could think of other things that will be worth your 5 dollars.

Spend it in anyway you see fit, I guess. It almost sounds as if you are making fun of your Grandma, I hope not. I hope you send her a note and tell her Thanks. You are probably someone that she cares very much about

well, sweetie, obviously spend it on one of the things you are lacking... idk, tp, soap, a pack of undies...? if it's bigger things, put it towards that... unemployed or not, I'd prolly just blow it on a pack of cigs... pity, isnt it?
