how can i get a guys attention if im are shy? i really dont like going up to guys and saying "hey how are you" etc etc. if i smile at him will he get the picture and come talk to me? i feel weird asking this but oh well.

A smile is always nice to see, so there isn't any risk in trying.
Besides, smiling gives the idea that you're not playing the "too-hard-to get" game. At least they'll know that you're interested.
Once I met a really cute guy and he had been looking at me for some time. I did nothing, not even a smile. I never see him again. So, learn from my mistake =)

I would try to talk to guys when you're doing something that you're good at, something you enjoy because if they see your confidence then they're more likely to come up and talk to you.
But it's possible that if you just smile at a guy or touch him slightly he may end up talking to you for a while but guys do like aggressive girls. Always be yourself though and you'll attract the kinds of guys you like.

I think that if you smile and show some interest in him then he will get the hint. If he really likes you, a smile may give him the confidence that he needs, that little extra push. Who knows, he may be just as shy as you are...

Guys like people who talk, maybe not talk his ear off. I have a severe stuttering problem- so it's difficult for me.
Strike up a conversation, push-it just a bit. If you don't do anything- you haven't gained or lost a thing!

a nice coy smile, and peek out of the corner of your eye can let a boy know you are interested. and if they are not shy they should come over and strike up a conversation. but it all depends on your age group.

girl, in the first plae you dont have to do anything just to get a guy's attention.you have your beauty and inner attractiveness that will lead a guy in front of you without any effort at all. just be yourself and there's no need to do anything to catch attention.
