Ok I put on an overnight pad slept through the night fine (besides getting up to pee alot) The next morning the pad was completly soaked!! and yellow splotches (looks like mountain dew) I went to the doctor 4 days ago (no yellow spots 4 days ago, up until yesterday!) they said it was all good.
We tried for a 2nd opionion no such luck!! is this possible to ammonitic fluid??

I'M 37 WEEKS!! also was in preterm labor at 34 was put on bed rest until 36.

It is possible you can have a small rip in the bag or what's called a forebag, or the baby's head has dropped and closed up the small rip, it does happen.

However, amniotic fluid is clear not yellow. And it looks like water and is basically odorfree. If you are worried about it, go to the L&D unit and have them eheck you, it's as easy as putting some of the vaginal fluid on a strip of nitrazine paper, the color change from the pH of the fluid will let the nurse know if your water has broken. If your water did break yesterday and you are still leaking there is a risk for infection the longer you go.

Since you are 37 weeks and you are contracting and the cervix is ripe they may let you stay anyway and start labor.

Have you had a recent ultrasound???? If not I recommend trying to get one A.S.A.P. A friend of mine has 3 kids and with the first 2 the doctors had to break her water and on the last one her water broke on its own. She wasnt sure if it was her water or not and when she went to the e.r. they told her that she was just urinating on herself due to a bladder infections. A week later when she went into labor there was hardly any ammontic fluid left for the baby to survive in. Due to the stupid doctor at the e.r. my friend almost lost her baby. Please dont wait to get yourself looked at. Demand an ultrasound. I hope all goes well for you and I hope you have a good delivery. Best of luck!!!

my discharge changed towards the end of my pregnancy and it go more liquidy and such.
so, i would suggest going to the dr or calling the dr and asking them. it's hard to distinguish these things on line.

i've talked to some women who were leaking amniotic fluid and they just said that they went to the bathroom frequently and after a few trips they realized that it wasn't their bladder that was being relieved, but amniotic fluid leaking.

most likely, if you are continuing to have this leaking, it is amniotic fluid....but only one way to know.

if it's after dr's hours, then i would make a trip to the hospital. they can check to see if it's amniotic fluid and then if so, they will keep you. if you are leaking, then you can't go anywhere b/c your barrier for infection has been broken.

so, good luck and i wish you a safe and happy delivery!

it could be since you are so far along but there is a chance that it is actually pee that happened to me during both of my pregnancies one baby was over due the other came 3 1/2 weeks early so just watch out for contractions you might even have some and not even know it

When did this happen you didnt mention the date. If it was last night then you should go to the doctor. If it wasn't then it's possible that you just leaked urine through the night. If baby moved a certain way it couldve pressed your bladder and caused it to come out!

if you soak a pad when you are sleeping then you need to be checked. If it is Amniotic Fluid they can test for that at the E.R. Just tell them that you think your water is leaking and they just place a test strip there and it either changes color or doesn't. good luck

But I think that if you are concerened, it is better to know for sure.

Amniotic fluid has the consistancy of water, not mucus.
