Okay, this is a cruise question. I don't know why everyone is talking about airlines??? Many cruise lines allow you to bring wine on board. I would try the water bottle trick as far as liquor is concerned. Also stash some in your bag. I have never heard of anyone getting busted for liquor anywhere, but I have never done the liquor thing, only wine. I just buy liquor on the ship. They have great prices, then they just add reasonable surcharge to be able to enjoy it on the ship. Don't count on getting liqour on the ship at different ports of call. they do check. But upon embarkation I think they just have too much to do to worry about that specifically... Have fun! I am cruising on Carnival Conquest Oct. 22. Looking forward to it!

Starting today if you bought the liquid (certain types) in the airport it can go but if you bring any of the questionable items they will take it if you don't have in your luggage. We got back from Colombia about 4 weeks ago and they took our Tide pen and they took this guys brand new never opened liquor in Miami. I would put all in luggage and if you have a laptop make sure it is out of the case or they will hassle you. Oh yes wear clean socks cause u may have your shoes checked. Have a nice trip.

Cruise lines will not allow hard alcohol to be brought onboard for consumption. They will hold it for you until the end of the trip. If you try to sneak it on in a water bottle and you are caught they have every right to not let you sail and you will not be given any refund for the trip.

You can put a bottle of booze in your checked luggage...it needs to be closed in it's original packaging...and I don't know what that dork above is talking about wrapping it like a gift...believe me, now a days they will tear that package open, they don't screw around. If you get caught lying about what is in a water bottle, you will be thoroughly searched and all your bags rummaged through, and you can miss your flight and they won't give a crap.

They are NOT going to take booze out of your luggage.BUT you could always wrap it like a birthday gift and carry it right under their noses!
