Fast food is becoming healther because the fast food joints wants to attract more custumers. With healthier foods, they can attract the "I need to lose weight" people and the "I want to live healthier" people.

Because so many people are sue-happy--they don't want to take responsibility for their actions, just looking for someone to blame. Take for example the person who actually won a lawsuit against a fast food company because she spilled her coffee and burned herself...isn't it common sense coffee is normally hot? Wouldn't you complain if it was cold? They have to have warning labels "contents may be hot" or something similar. No one makes you order a double bacon cheeseburger meal (for example). People are becoming more concious of their choices....watch the "Supersize" documentary...it's an eye-opener. A lot of restaurants are also displaying the nutrition facts to help people be more informed of their choices. But there can be just as much fat, if not more in a salad w/ salad dressing as in fries or a cheeseburger, some people are being fooled they are making a healthier choice but they really aren't.

I don't know if they're actually becoming healthier but they're definately trying to appeal to a larger stream of people because there are so many diets and stuff going around and there's an obvious trend for everyone trying to be thin. As a result, instead of losing the dieting clientel which is like... at least 60% of the population, they're trying to put things on menus that will appeal to them too. It's all marketing. Its not like they're trying to do you a favour. They're in it for the business.

they are getting healthier because people are getting fat off of the other stuff. people will not take the time to cook anymore. There is always to much to do, and spending the time to cook and sit down at the table to eat a meal is gone for most.

They are not becoming healthier, it just seems that way because of company advertising etc. They are doing it so when people eat fast food they do not feel guilty over what they just ate. Most people do not know what is healthy and what is not.

because everybody wants to be thin and the only way to be thin is to eat healthy. Fastfood joints realize this and that's probably why they are going healthy too. They gotta make up where they are lacking.

The short answer is because people are lazy and they also complain lot.
People are just never satisfied. If you go to McDonald's you know you are not getting the healthiest food. Don't complain when its greasy! Even when they claim it is healthy, its's not. It just eases people's concious a little.

because most American are too busy or lazy to cook at home. so, therefore we are increasing in our weight. which results in unhealthy life styles or heart problems , etc.
so, the fast food industries are trying to jump on the band wagon or they are concerned about making the big $.

I think the movie Super Size Me started it. What an eye opener that was too. Everyone should watch that movie.
