ok..what are the symptoms? is it fatal as in deadly? like aids? my friend is depressed cause hse thinks she has it and told me its like aids that it will kill her...is it true? thnak u!

You can see herpes. It's a sore that can go away and come back from time to time.

NO. It won't kill you.
The outbreaks hurt.
Once infected you always have it.
It can lay low until an outbreak.
A male friend of my Sister said he can go lay
out on the beach, a pretty girl will walk by and
he'll get a herpes outbreak.
It's not fun.
Tell her to get it checked, and it's not like Aides.

Herpes will not kill you. Sadly though there is no cures for the virus. It is still spreadable even if one takes the medication. Encourage your friend to get tested and practice safe sex. HIV virus has drugs to slow it down, but unlike Herpes, HIV attacks a person's immune system eventually causing death when turned into full blown AIDS.

It will not kill you. My friend has had it for almost 20 years. There is no cure, though, and she said outbreaks are painful. There are medications to reduce symptoms, but it is still possible to spread it. Have your friend go to the doctor for a test.

Um, NO, it will NOT kill you. It is a VIRUS. Ever had a cold sore on your lip? It's like that but on your genitals. *OUCH!* There is NO cure but plenty of medication to slow symptoms and outbreaks.

It is nothing like AIDS... she will not die. There is medicine that she can take for it to help. She needs to go to the dr.. there are a lot of people that she probably knows that have it they just don't walk around telling everybody... Tell her it is not as bad as she thinks... go to the dr... and take her medicene...

no it wont kill her, however it is painful and really louses up your love life.
