It depends on the kind of leavening you use in the batter. Double acting baking powder, for example, begins working the moment you add liquid. It goes through a second activation when you bake it. If the leavening you use is primarily liquid activated, refrigerating it overnight could leave you with a flat, dense cake. I wouldn't take the chance - bake it now (and I mean NOW!), then wrap it in plastic wrap, then in foil, and refrigerate. It may actually taste better the next day.

I'd love to say it will turn out, but I don't think so. One time I tried making a yeasted bread dough that way, and it never rose at all, which was frustrating because I'd put all that work into the dough. I'd recommend that you go ahead and bake it tonight, then warm it up very gently in the morning. I think it will turn out better that way. Good luck with your cake!

I am not sure about cake batter. It usually relies on the air bubbles in the batter to make it rise properly, so cooking it tonight might be the best thing. I know that many cookie batters can be refrigerated overnight or even frozen and not be affected.

yes you can, prepare to the point of baking in your prepared dish or pan. Cover the pan, place in the refridge. Next morning, Preheat the oven 5 min. Bake the cake, add about 5 min more bake time.

The best is to bake it tonight, cover loosely and do not refrigerate. Warm it up just a little in the morning.
