Bipolar. When in depressed stage, and you ignore people, are you/they aware they are ignoring people?

For people with Bipolar or someone they know. When in the depressed stage, and someone is distant, and ignores people. Are you/they aware what they are doing to someone? And does the person who is being ignored get very frustrated and just forget about them?

And if they are not aware, then how do they react to the person they have been ignoring when they snap out of the depressed stage?

no, u r never aware. it iis just something that they cannot control
