I don't think that many Christians really have taken on board the notion that if Jesus really was 'human' (ignore for the moment whether or not he was God, 'cos I think that most people could learn from this) then he had no more resources available to him than you or I. So he didn't have a metaphorical 'Get Out Of Jail Free' card in his pocket; he didn't wake up in the morning with a fax on his pillow suggesting that today was a good day to try a few beatitudes ... in other words, he had to work it out all for himself.

And that sets me a challenge, whether or not I could call myself Christian - that if he could live a good life without any special favours, that gives me no excuse for not trying as hard as I can. And I find that a challenge and a comfort.

(PS - I think that was part of the message of The Last Temptation of Christ, which everybody made such a fuss about, especially if you read the book).

The most wonderful thing about being a Jehovah's Witness is knowing the truth about God and the Bible and being able to show others how to find it. It is such a blessing to know we can be a part of this great work of teaching and preaching about God's Kingdom Government that will solve all the world's problems forever.

I delight in having my loose time again to myself. I delight in being waiting to view the international with a rational, life like ideas, and employing skepticism throughout the time of my each day existence. i like understanding what i trust is justified, somewhat than continually being uncertain at the same time as i turned right into a Christian. i'm an Agnostic Atheist (Pagan), which skill i'm fullyyt an Agnostic Atheist, yet i like the Celtic subculture, Nordic international places, and the overall understand in the route of nature that Pagans have a tendency to percentage. I percentage no supernatural beliefs with Paganism, or any faith in any respect.

The number 1 thing I love about my religion is that it is my own. I do not follow any religious doctrine and simply live by the scriptures. That way I am not hearing mixed messages.

I feel I don't need a religion, as long as I have that phone in my heart that connects with the one and only God - Jesus Christ.

I feel so close to him, I am compassionate, truthful, spiritual.

God intervene to me once in the very moment I felt compassion, and in the moment of truth, I felt in my head, God say, "I AM HAPPY WITH YOU" ...basically God patty me on the back:)

I feel he's happy when I do the best that I can do, I feel I am led to protect others, the weak, in need, whatever it is God leads me to do.

I love the freedom of my Wiccan-based religion. It's such a relief to be in a loving relationship with my gods and goddesses and away from the fear, hate, and evil of my old religion. I used to be a Christian.

I like your question, for me it would have to be unconditional love.(He gave his only son)...We love our children unconditionally can you image how much more God must love us? I feel the sense of "oneness" to others and to mother nature. I've had to learn tough lessons about forgiveness(when you thought it would be impossible), what unconditional love really is. It's made me a better spiritual person.
