I am so upset with myself for feeling like this. I don't know where it came from, but I hate feeling this way. My sister has a friend (boy) who is starting to pay for her mortgage, bills, and tells her he is going to buy her a huge house with horses, car etc etc....I struggle everyday working and I still am struggling with bills, mortgage, etc.. How can I get rid of feeling so jealous? I can't even be happy for her!

this SAME exact thing happened with my sister!!!
Her boyfriend got out of the army and recieved $20,000. They bought everything, a new car, new furniture for their new apartment and they were always having parties. I was really jealous and wanted them to break up. It's really hard though, but I looked at it as, well, I'm providing for myself so I should feel proud of myself for not living off of someone else. Try not to let it bring you down! Money can only make a person happy for a little while, if there isn't love there.
Don't look at what she has. Look at what you have and come to terms that there is always going to be someone that has something bigger and better. Surround yourself with great friends!!

It's a tough blow to a hard worker when you see someone else having everything handed to them, but keep in mind, you're not jealous of a goldfish just because you feed it every day. You are working hard, you are handling your responsibilities, and you can be so proud of yourself for that. You and you sister have probably never been the same person. Celebrate what makes you different from her, and take pride in your own strengths. Then you will be able to appreciate her strengths too. Good luck

Hmmmmm. What is all this going to COST your sister? Is it love or is it something you don't know about? Is she happy? If so, be happy for her regardless. She is your sister.

I find that being independent helps me avoid feelings like this. Everyone likes gifts, but they usually come with a price. Always look a gift horse in the mouth!

If he's a reliable boyfriend, he's merely busy with issues and do not have time, or forgot his telephone charger and would not opt to expire the battery. (I do this each and every one the time.) To get over it, textual content him and tell him to call you once he can. it will be a even as, yet in case you ask, and he's a reliable boyfriend, he could call. i'd likely be dissatisfied, yet I overreact plenty, so as it truly is not any longer declaring a lot. also, if he's a nasty boyfriend, i'd be great dissatisfied.

No such thing as a 'free' ride... maybe your resentment is partly because you feel she could be compromised by this situation and that you'll have to console her and pick up the pieces yet again?
