give me your number and I'll call you? Are they just old fashioned or do they not want to give out their number because they are married, etc?

Could be married. Or they could be afraid of stalkers. Until you get to know someone don't give out your number or address. Meet in as public place and have a friend or relative call you within about half an hour on your cell. This way if you are looking for an "out" you can use the phone call to make up an excuse so you can leave right away. But make sure a friend or relative knows where you are.

I have been through this so I have some tips for you. If he doesn't give you any of his phone numbers, but especially his home number. Won't give you his address so you can send him a gift ( hint, hint). Doesn't answer to any emails until a certain time of night or day for that matter ( he could be retired for all you know)

To give the guy the benefit of the doubt give him a chance to call you a few times until you feel comfy. Then at a very comfortable dinner you can ask him for his number. If he has an excuse then forget it honey....he's married or has a GF. There are signs and you actually know them in your gut. Don't be blind to those signs. I should write a book! lol!

Whats being married got to do with it?!? If you don't give him your number, maybe he can assume that your married also! He has a better chance of meeting you this way, because from my experience, if your like some women, you have a phobia of being the one to call a guy first and won't consider it. Think about that.

I think thats just a bad idea to give out numbers on the internet I bet they do it because they are married.

It's a control thing. If a guy wants your number & he's really intersted he'll call, but he wants to do it on his terms. Ask him for his number, don't give him yours and see how he responds. If he gives it to you then best of luck from there.

I say ask him for his number ... maybe tell him a friend said that you should not give out your number this soon ... and just see what he says.

depending what you did on your date they may pass your number around. I would not give him your number only after one date you don't even know this guy he could be a weirdo.

I would not read into it so much right now. Casually ask to call him back, or something and then see what he says. Right now, I think he is doing what many men would do. Make the moves......be the one to call you.

It sounds fishy to me I would be extremely careful with on-line dating.I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can find someone outside of the internet.
