To rephrase, is it more important to be able to have a meaningful conversation with your significant other than it is to be able to laugh with them?

Laughing is way more important if you had to pick between the two. I'm sure there must be some intelligence in there somewhere, or you wouldn't have a sense of humor.

Just because people don't have the highest intelligence, doesn't mean that they can't still have meanful conversations. I'd go for a sense of humor. If someone can make me laugh/smile, then that's one of the greatest gifts ever.

Life is serious enough! Intelligent conversations are stimulating but aren't remembered for very long. Laughter leaves a permanent memory of "good times". I'll take the sense of humor any day!

I think that it should be a little of both honestly. You should always be able to have meaningful conversations, but still be able to laugh at even the dumbest jokes. There is so many things that encompass a relationship. Never single out just one thing.

I have very generally found it to be true that the two go hand in hand. If I had to choose though, it would definitely be a sense of humor, as long as it didn't get out of hand and everything turn into a big joke all the time.

oh my, laughing is great...and laughing with your significant one is even better...but it is also great to be able to have a deep conversation with that person....so i would have to say both intelligence and humor.

Unconditional love counts the most, but a sense of humor would help.
