I can get the chewy stuff anywhere. What I am looking for is the dried, crunchy fruits and berries you often find in cereal these days. KWIM?

Produce Aisle in Supermarket......next to peanuts and raisins. lOOk!

Whole Foods market.

Safeway has apple chips.

Trader Joes has a few things like that but more on the chewy side.

do you have a local farmers market in your area we have some great people that participate in ours dry the fruit just perfectly and it is delicious! Try a local health food store they usually have a good variety too.

I would suggest skipping trying to find it and make your own. Buy a dehydrator, get the fruit you want, follow the directions for each type and enjoy. You can make all you want and you know what's in it.

go to a store such as Wild Oats or another health foods store. also try your local co-op. check out the yellow pages for the stores and call them to see if they have what you are looking for.

If you can afford one, I'd by a dyhydrator. That way you can make them whenever you'd like and be able to play with the texture as well.
