She only lives about 50 yards away from me so she can see everything I do, when I walk my dog, when I leave and return, etc. She even tells me she knows when I'm on the computer because she looks to see if the light is on in that room. She comes over uninvited and never leaves on her own. I have to lie and tell her I have something to do. I have even gotten in my car and left for a while. I have told her 3 times and emailed her once explaining that I just want to be friends, that I don't want a relationship with anyone - not just her and all other things. She just doesn't seem to get it. I feel like I am being stalked. help!

This is a tough one but not that tough. It sounds like you have been nice to her when you told her you just wanted to be friends, etc. Now is the time to get firm with her. Stop lieing or making excuses so that she will leave or whatever. Be adamant with her and tell her this way "I have told you before and I will tell you only one more time. I like my privacy, I do not want to have a relationship with you, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't just stop by anymore and I would like to be friends with you but if you do not stop these things I don't even want to be friends". Also tell her that if she continues that you will consider getting the authorities involved. If this doesn't work I don't know what will. But if this really doesn't work then I would file a police report and do whateve it is that the police advise you to do. Good Luck!

It sounds like you have tried the nice approach. I guess the next thing to do is the blunt confrontation approach. Next time she invites herself to your place, say, Look, you are a very nice lady, but I am simply not interested in ANYTHING except being neighborly. Or, you can bring a date home to your place. If she is indeed watching, then she SHOULD get the picture. I feel for you dude. Nothing worse than someone obsessing about you. Its freaky in a way. Good luck to you!!

Maybe you are being too nice and need to be more rude towards her, otherwise she may never get the hint. When she comes over, don't answer the door even if she knows you're home. Tell her you don't like how she is acting towards you and it's going to ruin the friendship.

One more time- tell her FIRMLY that you just want to be FRIENDS. If that doesn't work, stop answering the door when she comes over....
