Only Christians would be left behind. Jesus is a practical joker. Remember his words unto you; "I lied for you."

If Jesus returns in the clouds and caught the church off the earth there would be very few go up to meet him in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Only those that have truly trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ die for their sins will meet the Lord in the air. Most people today may go to church, give their money, be baptized, etc but that is a work. Salvation is a free gift. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

It would depend on who was right about him. If the liberals were right, then nearly everyone would be embraced. If conservatives were right, then only they would be embraced and everyone not rich or Christian would be left behind. If the God's Army people were right, then only they would be rifted up and everyone else in the world would get massacred by them. If the Universalists were right, then everyone would be accepted. If the Phelps clan were right, the entire world would be screwed including Phelps himself. If Catholics were right, then believers and good people would be arranged in an heirarchy of Saved and everyone else would become kindling. If the Calvinists were right, then only yhe "Elect" would be okay...and the "Elect" are pretty much defined as the Calvinists.

But don't worry about it. None of them are right. No one's coming back.

I would say quite a few. So many people have forgotten what it means to be a Christian these days. Too many people have listened to society and allowed it to distort their views and way of life. Try listening to "On This Rock" by Ray Vander Laan and see how far we've come.

Probably more than you would have thought. I would imagine the vast majority would be left, up to I would guess 75 percent.

Unfortunately, I think it would be more than one would expect. In some places, I doubt anyone would even notice.
