just goto the DMV and get a new one. they give it to right then and there. It's not too much either.

Inform your instructor in advance so that he can help you out with the problem.. but at the same time, keep on looking and try to think where you place it last..

my daughter does it every week, she knows her instructor is coming but chooses to panic five minutes before the lesson is due ,i tell her to get organized if her license means anything to her, youv`e got to earn it (will the police let you off if you cant find it when you get fined for speeding or being a motorist)..

either get a replacment from the DMV or beter really look for it...good luck in your search
