okay so i like him alot but only as a friend.....he says he loves me but i don't feel the same way so i broke up with him......he kept insisting so i got with him and now it's almost his b-day &i don't know if i should give him anything i mean it's not like i'm not going to brake up with him soon........should i tell him before or after his b-day?

I'm in the same position. But if you think about it, it's hard trying to find a guy who really likes us and just not playing games. And to top it off it's so many women to one man. If he's a nice guy and he treats you right, that's all that matters. Give him a chance.

You just got guilted. Depends on how soon his b-day is.... if in the next week or so, I'd wait to break it off until after. But you still need to be honest with him. Tell him that you do value him as a friend, but you don't feel THAT way about him. It is kinder to end it sooner than later.

You seem to like the control over him. Not a good thing for you or for him. This is a dysfunctional/co-dependent relationship, and hopefully you will outgrow it so you can go on to a healthier, stronger relationship with someone else.

try to change your personality around him. be really bitchy, picky, annoying, and pick up some gross physical habits. soon you'll be on your way to getting dumped yourself... no hard feelings to you, and he won't get his heart broken!
