Guys like confidence boosters. Keep reminding them how much you like them. Tell them they're cute/funny/whatever over & over, & that will help them work up the nerve. They're afraid of rejection, they'd like to go for a sure thing if at all possible.

Shy is just a natural personality trait. Im unfortunately shy myself. It's mostly negative thoughts that pop up like what if she doesn't like me or I embarras myself in-front of a lot of people. Also, if there young, most guys will be shy but will grow out of it. Usually once they can break the barrier once, they will feel more comfortable in later situations. I found it best to just think positive and make it quick before I can think of the possible outcomes other than success. Hope my answer helped!

It's because guys are always treated like the 'bad guy' in a relationship these days that they don't wanna have to be careful all the time. They simply don't know what's expected of them anymore.

It's why girls always end up with jerks since it's the jerks who actually ask them out. Then the girl becomes lesbian and starts going out with other girls never having known any of the nicer guys...

One....we are like every other human. It gets to the point where we are afraid of rejection. I mean honestly, who wants to put their neck on the line just to have it all blow back up in our face. For one...I'm a good looking guy....but am shy b/c I have been hurt bad in the past.....

Plenty of reasons for that. It could be cultural, environmental, or psychological. Typically, a shy guy is obviously one with so much inhibition and he couldn't bear to face the embarrassment of rejection. It could also be that you are so attractive, that most guys think you are out of their league.

Sometimes guys just take things way too seriously....meaning, they are afraid to ask a girl out because they've built it up as such an important event to them, it dare not go wrong. And oh no! What if she says no!

I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to just relax and have fun...I would've enjoyed my early years so much more.

Generally, you need to at least send out some sort of signal or show some sort of interest if you're really interested. It's too much to expect of "guys" to ask you out of the blue. Not showing interest will normally be construed as a lack of interest.

Bad answer to ask them out, though.

Sometimes when a guy looks at a pretty girl (like you I would guess) they just get tongue tied. Other times it might be the fear of rejection. Many other reasons also. Your best bet is to take the initiative and ask them.

imagine you born into a world where only the girls can hit on guys. and the guys would act bitchy to blow you off. the guy expect you to do all the work.. and take all the risks in rejection.

i'm just glad i'm not really afriad.
