GIRLS ONLY: If you like a guy a lot, do you wait for HIM to make the move?

If you girls like a guy a lot, do you wait for the guy to like you back and then ask you out. Or do, YOU prefer to ask the guy out. and WHY? Would it depend on if you knew the guy liked you back or not?

I personally don't ask a guy out unless I know for sure that he likes me back. I'm not much of a risk taker. But I think it really depends on how comfortable you are with one another. Like if you've known each other forever, I think its more acceptable for the girl to do the asking, but if you're relatively new to one another I think the guy should make the first move. I prefer the guy to ask me, but that doesn't happen to me a lot.

if you tell him you like him, he probably wont right away give you a straight answer back, so you'll be stuck wondering about it. plus, if he does give you an answer back or lets you know through other signals that he likes you too, if you start dating or becoming more than friends, you'll always be stuck wondering if he is just going out with you because you were convenient since you liked him first. so you should wait because if he really likes you, he'll make the move, thus saving you all the unknowing and insecurity you would have had if you had said something.

I would rather have a guy ask me out than have to ask him myself, but if I really liked the guy, I would just be gutsy and go for it! If I really liked him, I'd ask him out whether I knew if he liked me or not....but if I had some indication that my feelings were returned, I'd definitely be a lot less nervous about asking him! :)
