Why do we stomp all over a person's belief and fealings as if they are not even human? Those who truly beleive in GOD knows HE/SHE/IT has given us emotions and that can dictate the actions of tommoroww because it happened yesterday. Emotions lead us to kill the innocent but on the brighter side give us the ability to apreciate the person standing next to you. Let alone the person on the other side of the globe. GOD gave us the emotion to cry and laugh. To mourn and worry. Then why do we abuse the next person severely by not even aknowledging a simple thing as an emotion? As if GOD does not have any? Christians believe we are made in HIS image. Muslims believe we can be reflections(ayotollas). Then why can't we do a simple thing as to just aknowledge maybe we just don't know? And work for a better tomorow because it is coming. It came yesterday and will come again next year. When will we wake up?

Signed,
One fed up brother

Googlywotsit had an answer I did not give much thought to till he said something about it. I did not even recognise. And he is an atheist who seems to have more respect than some of the religous people on here. Thanks for making me aknowledge that.

I agree.
These are the neighbors that dear brother Jesus asked us to love. We can't love them if we are making fun of them.

it is hard to be loved by fools

A disastrous thing to say. Look what’s happened now. People of Muslim majority countries burning down the Danish Embassies. The violence was particularly pronounced in Pakistan and Indonesia.
I say , what was the need of publishing that cartoon. Couldn’t the newspaper people see that it would hurt religious sentiments ? If this is the result of freedom of expression then , damn it, control what you express. Then after a few days some other weekly humour tabloid printed that cartoon again. What are they trying to prove ? The muslims on the other hand did not need to resort to violence. They are other ways of having revenge. They could have printed a cartoon depicting other religions in a similar position , but no! They had to burn , hit and destroy. If you ask me then muslims take their religion a bit too seriously.

I DONOT INDTEND TO SAY THAT I DISLIKE THEM. SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE MUSLIMS AND THEY EXPRESSED THE SAME CONCERN OVER ALL THIS ISLAMIC VIOLENCE.

According to some recent developments , a big muslim newspaper has started a contest for the best cartoon depicting Jesus Christ in a similar position. I’m not going to take sides. But a parting message -

TIT FOR TAT IS FAIR PLAY.

I agree, although you may notice that many children frequent this site. Most children fail to understand the power of emotions. Those that are callous towards others' emotions and are not of a young age, are children in their minds still, so should be regarded with silent pity.

I know it's hard sometimes, but don't be fed up, just continue to lead by example.

Even if you show ONE person that respecting others and striving to love unconditionally, both the good AND bad people in this world creates a feeling of spiritual peace, then it has been worth it, has it not?

An atheist.

Thank you for this. So many times you see such hateful speech on here coming from Christians.

Religious tolerance and acceptence is the way to world peace. You attract more through honey than anger. The Bible says to lead by example, NOT by cramming your beliefs down other people's throats. All major religions are working towards the same general goals if you break them down and push away all the bs.

We are not promised tomorrow. People just expect it will come as it always does. Tolerance...it all amounts to the same...we, as human beings are expected by society to be tolerant of anothers religion, sexuality, race, etc...Myself, as I try to emmulate Christ, try very hard to live my life that way...with compassion, with love, and with ferver for God. However, I am more concerned about what God judges me by, not what people think of me. Just live your life, try to help your fellow man, and live each day as if it's your last...it just might be.

Technically, it's called deindividuation...on the computer most people say what they don't actually have the nerve to say in person, and know they will not be held responsible because no one actually knows who they are.

I totally agree. We need to stop bashing each other and realize that we have more similarities than differences

it's ok... :-) by the way you can refer to God as he, as it is a generic term (secondary definition) with no reference to gender. Anyway, don't you just wish we could all get along? :-/ well peace!

Because I believe what Jesus said:

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ
