i have black hair nd i want to have blue highlights, how long do i bleach my hair so the color will show? is it ok if the bleach part is lyk light golden blonde for the blue to show? i'm usin manic panic after midnight blue :)

what u do is bleach it till its more blondie than orange and then the blue sould come out fine

Okay STOP bleaching it....The only way your going to get ALL the black out of it is have it stripped out...Then you'll have to wait a couple of weeks...Then you'll be able to dye it and it not ruin your hair as much as what your doing to it now...Ask a local beauty shop about buying a stripper or having them strip it for you...It shouldn't cost very much...Just make sure you'll be able to buy products to help it for a couple weeks..!

when you bleach hair, you're removing color and its going to leave the hair slightly dry and damaged. it should be fine just make sure you use a silk therapy afterwards to nourish the hair.
