When you propose marriage to a woman, do you mean it? What's your idea about men who propose marriage online?

Anyone who propses marriage online .. is not in reality. The reason... because the personality is stripped from online.. and the person on the receiving end fills in the blanks with a fantasy about that person... so true love can't solely exist on the internet.

It's the same reason long distance relationships don't work...

And I would run from any guy who does.

Marriage is something that is sacred, declaring your love for the woman of your dreams, who you want to spend THE REST of your life with. To most men, they don't take it seriously, but in my opinion, marriage is important. Proposals should be made in REAL LIFE, online proposals don't seem too sincere to me, especially if you haven't met the person, you wouldn't know how the person REALLY is, just by what the persons SAYS they are, etc.

Proposing online.
Hm.

I think it's probably the most unromantic way to propose, that I can think of.

Marriage is a big thing. It's abused. It's taken lightly. And it shouldn't be. I think the meaning behind it, lately, has been butchered. And now, after hearing online proposing, moreso.

Why a guy would not want to hold his lovers hand, and look into her eyes, and do the traditional down on one knee thing (just to see her smile) is beyond me.

The intensity of it all, is found when face to face.

Proposing marriage is not to be taken lightly. If a guy can't do it in person then their can't be too much of a basis for marriage.

Whaddaya mean, "propose online"? As in, he's never seen this lady in person? He's lived out this relationship online, and thinks this other person is ready to get married? Without having seen him in person? This is how he chooses a life mate? Is he afraid, or just that much of a loner?

Oh, I'm sure he means it all right.....
