If a woman attacks a man with a baseball bat, trying to hit him in the face and knees, and he punches her in the face which knocks her out, what should happen to him? Should he go to jail for hitting a girl, or go free because he acted in self defense? Should nearby men beat him up for hitting a woman? What should happen to the woman?
Personally I think what he did was justified. But the woman should go to prison for attacking a man with a weapon.

If this happened in Britain it works like this...
If he slaps her after terrible provocation, he can go to jail.
If she stabs him whilst he's asleep on the couch and pretends he was violent previously, she gets 18 months.

Your 100 % accurate. If a woman uses a baseball bat on a man, he has a right to defend himself. He should go free for self defense. Many tough women, think they can spit at men, hit them, scrach their faces, abuse them in all ways. But when a man tries to defend himself then the woman will call the Police and get the man arrested. In our state it is both of them that goes to jail. Not just the man. The women should be charged with assult. The other men that were standing near by , better back off. Poor fella was abused from both sides. They should have kicked the womans ***, because she is the one who started it all> Hopefully the man will have a good, good lawyer.

Assault with a weapon is a felony. Any person who commits that crime as defined under the presiding statutes should face charges for it. If a man hits a woman who is attacking him in this manner, he is justified. After all, what are his options?
But if he starts an altercation, and she uses a bat to defend herself against him, she may not be criminaly liable even if he didn't have a weapon because in that scenario she was acting to protect herself.

That's what would happen, the courts make no distinction between men and women. You are allowed to use 'reasonable force' to defend yourself, ie if she has a bat you can too but not a knife or gun.
Its only society that dictates that men can hit women, the law says no one can hit anyone.

Depends ......... Nobody should ever beat anybody; weapon or fists, male or female.
If this woman is attacking with a weapon against a man because it is her only effective way of defence in my mind she is justified.
If she is a violent woman who is always fighting then it is not.
I would need to have more information, the way you word your question I would agree it is justified but without hearing the other side I could not say

While i'm no advocate for violence or of men hitting women, the woman had no right to attack him with a baseball bat. He acted in self defense, and if she didn't want to be hit, she shouldn't have placed herself in that position. She needs to go to jail for assault.

apparently if a lady hits a man, then the man would be removed from scene of incident as they re seen as the aggresive sex, naturally.
the police should be able to know if the male replyed in self defence or just beat the lady up, for the heck of it, if so then the police, if instructed by the victim(male), will take the lady into custody and depending on the severity of her attack will let her off with a warning or throw the book at her.
in your question she should get locked up.

First,i really don't know what was the reason of the woman for attacking him in the first place,i believed that any woman would not do an extend violence unless she was already fed-up and ill treated first...i think what she did was out of anger...what was happened before the attacked is a good ground for her to depend herself in court.

The man might go to jail, but gets sentenced only for a short period of time because it was for self defense. Same thing happened with this woman who killed her abusive husband.

yes she should go to jail if that is the verdict and even both when a man hits a woman or viceversa in a relationship I think both are guilty, one for being the victim and staying put in the relationship she knows is violent and the victimizer for reacting and acting out the pattern,, they both need help or accept they like it and stop getting the others involved with their complains
